The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. These words kept going through my mind one morning and I finally asked God what some of the weapons of our warfare were. I believed He was attempting to get my attention, so I finally gave it to Him.
That was the first thing that came up on the inside of me. That thought came to my mind. So I thought about it and pondered it a few minutes just like Mary did when she didn’t know what to do with a word from God. I came up with nothing, but I know that whatever God says is right and truth.
You may ask, “How do you know that you were hearing God when the one word you got makes no sense whatsoever?” The answer is… by faith.
Well, God has a sense of humor so I began to agree with Him and what He said. He is always right so it is best to agree with Him.
“Dogs… dogs… yes Lord, it is dogs… no doubt about it. So what is it about dogs that You want me to know.” I even felt that I might be acting a little disrespectful to God until I understood what came up next from my spirit.
“People are using dogs for their protection in this day and age. How absurd and primitive a solution when I have adequately provided angels to protect you from your enemies in your time of need. Didn’t Jesus expressly say that he could call on Me and ask for twelve legions of angels to come to get him out of the mess he was in. But the scriptures had to be fulfilled. My people put their trust in a dog. At best, a dog can only bite one person at a time, if it will. One of My angels put one hundred eighty five thousand of the enemy to death in the enemy camp overnight. ”
God doesn’t make any sense, except by faith… and by faith, this certainly made a lot of sense. So now I ask the Lord to give His angels charge over me, my wife, my children, my pastors and their children… every single day. I have faith that they are there for us at all times.
Psalm 91:6 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. NIV1984
