CHRIST OUT OF THE SHADOWS….

The whole of the Mosaic economy was a shadow of the things to come..

It was the “image” of the good things to come, bestowed on man by the Gospel of the Grace of God..

“So let no one judge you in food or in drink or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths..

Which are a mere shadow of things to come but the sustenance is of Christ.”

Col 2:16-17

The Law Keepers do not submit to God’s plan of salvation revealed in the New Testament..

Because they rely on their observances of law and not on Christ’s COMPLETE forgiveness of their sins- ONCE FOR ALL… Heb 10:10

Christ is our Righteousness and all believers have been released from the bondage of the law and its ritualistic observances…

Why should we let others bind us again with the law of sin and death?

WE ARE NOT STUPID…..

“You observe days and months and seasons and years.
I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain.”

Gal 4: 10-11

” Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses..

How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of Grace?”

Heb 10:28-29

Great judgment waits for the one or ones who disregard the Word of God with disdain and treats Christ’s shed blood for atonement of sins as though it were but a common sacrifice from an animal or mere man..

“So also we, while we were children, were held in bondage under the elementary things of the world.”

But when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman born under the law, so that He might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as SONS.”

Gal 4:3-5

Like all men, Jesus was obligated to obey God’s law. Unlike anyone else, He PERFECTLY obeyed the law..JN 8:46

His sinlessness made Him the unblemished sacrifice for sins, who had PERFECTLY obeyed God in everything..

His PERFECT righteousness is what is imparted to those who believe in Him..

The Law could not free man from the stains of sin’s guilt…and they could not give a troubled conscience, peace..

There was no putting away sin by the law, it only served to stir sin up…

“The law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” Rom 5:20

We therefore, DO NOT NEED TO LIVE IN THE SHADOWS OF THE LAW
